A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"~Nice little cafe with a plain clean industrial look. There is a regular menu and a menu for the specials. They also offer a selection of pasteries such as muffins, cookies, scones, & croissants. For food there are various burritos, sandwiches, & grilled cheese. Besides the regular drink menu they also have a fridge with things like water, sparkling water, juice, cold brew, & coca cola. ~The lady who took our order was very nice and helpful. Everything was clean and the amenities were fully stocked. Feels like a comfy place to get some work done with all the windows letting in so much light. The seating is about the average amount and there is wifi too. ~Other items they have for sale are coffee beans, coffee making equipment, tea, honey, cups/mugs, branded merchandise, chocolate bars, granola bars, & oatmeal. ~The parking was a bit confusing since there is no parking lot but there is a few parking spots next to the building. However I can't tell if that is part of next door, another part of the building, or for the cafe. Just to be sure we didn't get towed away or anything we played it safe by just paying the kiosk to park on the street across from the cafe."
"Unlike most coffee shops this shop is very open and loads of light, pretty quiet overall and very clean. The service is fantastic and the staff are really kind and friendly. The food and beverages are excellent and they make most syrups in house! This was my favorite spot so far to post up, do some work and enjoy their offerings. Highly recommend the Jasmine lemonade and lavender latte, as well as their breakfast sandwich!"
"LOVE this cafe’s big windows and natural lighting! They have decent number of indoor seatings, including a smaller number of outdoor seatings. The only downside is that there aren’t too many outlets. Only two tables have close access to outlets. And love that they have seasonal specialties — ordered latte with blackberry syrup! Didn’t taste much of the blackberry in there though. Regardless, the latte was still good! Would love to visit this well lit cafe again with its bright and open space!"
"I love trying out new cafes in pittsburgh, and this was on my list for a long time. I have to say I was extremely sceptic of the almost perfect rating that mechanic has received, but I have to now admit that it totally deserves it. Located in a quiet street in Shadyside, the cafe is spacious and extremely well with a lot of natural lighting. The decor is minimal, and there is plenty of seating indoors as well as some chairs on the outside. I had the iced vanilla latte, which was extremely delicious. With the right amount of syrup and sweetness. Both the barista is working were extremely sweet and welcoming. I visited on a Sunday afternoon, and it was pretty packed with almost everybody working from the cafe. my only complaint would be that it needs more power socket, specially since people mostly come here to work."
"I came her a few weeks ago and got a large iced decaf mocha and the flavor reminded me of little amps coffee. I actually looked up the website to see if they used little amps, but it looks like they use their own. It's really good. To me it's like a smokey essence that not all coffees have and I appreciate. The large was a 16ounce priced about 6$. I'm used to a large being 20-24. 6$ is market value. i really like the minimalist, open space industrial setting, with white walls and black trim and large windows. It's nice to feel spacious. I hate feeling crowded. I came very early on a weekend when I was at the local Laundromat nearby. I was going to get a chocolate bar but I think the sign said 7$ so I passed, but it may have been a speciality bar. There were a lot of tables to sit, but I don't typically dine in so I chose walking around the neighborhood with my drink until my laundry was done. The ppl were really nice. It was a guy and a girl working. Nice plants."
"Great coffee, nice snacks and ambiance too! Their seasonal flavors are fun and yummy, especially the Jasmine syrup which is subtle, but great with coffee! Their almond croissant is quite big, and pretty solid, but their drinks are truly where they shine!"
"Have been in a few times since they have opened here, have also been to their primary location. But I like their coffee, the espresso and drip are spot on. Last time I had a cappuccino and it was creamy and smooth. They opened up pretty quick and still have some plans for the build out from what I understand, but I think it will be great, especially with great coffee and the great staff I have experienced so far. Also like that they have cake pops, cookies, etc that my son enjoys."
"Perfectly fine neighborhood cafe. I ordered the single orgin espresso which was nice to see as an option. It was their Columbian blend I believe. It was pretty modest in its flavor profile. Not particularly bold in fruitiness nor cerialness. Extracted well-enough. Overall not their forte but perfectly acceptable. The service was absolutely wonderful. Baristas were happy to serve and well informed. The cafe itself is charming but maybe a bit sterile in comparison to others. As far as coffee shoppes go it leans towards appealing to a more posh market yet hasn't quite got the basics down. None of this should deter you from visiting. If you just like coffee this place will do."
